This is brand new British Desert Camo Netting and is very large at 36-42 feet.
Use it as a way to camouflage your vehicle when you are overnighting during your convoy in route to a bug out location.
It's not light, as the whole thing weighs about 50 pounds, but if you cut it in half like I recommend, then it gets much more manageable. Each net (when cut in half) fits in a medium sized backpack or large stuff sack (not included). You're convoying with at least two vehicles anyway and so you'll need two nets. Even cut in half it's big enough to cover a full-size pickup with plenty of room to spare.
This is British issue, so it's designed to scatter radar as well as hide you from visual observation. Don't live in the desert you say? Don't worry about it. Grass is brown in the fall and winter, tree trunks are brown, and it breaks up the vehicle pattern and covers reflective mirrors and lenses that would otherwise give you away. Much better than using nothing.
You could also use it to camouflage your LP/OP (listening post/observation post), sniper hide, or you could make lots ghille suites of of it.
